Fascism – Definition

Fascism is a political ideology that emphasizes:

  1. Authoritarian control – power is concentrated in a single leader or ruling party.

  2. Nationalism – extreme pride in and devotion to one’s nation, often at the expense of other nations or minority groups.

  3. Suppression of opposition – political opponents, independent media, or dissenting voices are often censored, persecuted, or eliminated.

  4. Control over society and economy – the state may regulate or dominate industries, culture, and education to serve its goals.

  5. Militarism – glorifying war, strength, and obedience to the state.
